"I have to say I really felt I'd achieved something as a Field Researcher when completing the inventory of Birmingham's city centre"
Job Title:
Field Researcher
Office:
Deployed in the field
Interests:
Music, photography and clay pigeon shooting
What's your background?
I studied HND Photography at Solihull College, West Midlands for 2 years. Continued to work as a freelance with art companies, providing photographic art work for commercial interiors and holding my own photographic exhibitions before joining Costar.

Why did you decide to join CoStar?
I had always held an interest in property and architecture, and when I discovered the field research position in Costar it seemed an opportunity too good to miss! I could combine my photographic skills with my interest in property, as well as using various research methods to tackle any challenges on a day-to-day basis.

What's the highlight of your experience to date?
I have to say I really felt I'd achieved something as a Field Researcher when completing the inventory of Birmingham's city centre. It took 6 months to cover the core city centre and outskirts. This totals to about 1540 man hours including extra at the weekend when the weathers been nice to take photos! Visiting and verifying 4904 buildings, I can't imagine how many miles I've walked, let alone driven!
