A Day in The Life:

Quality Assurance Analyst

What is your job about?
My main job role is to help maintain the highest degree of accuracy of information for our subscribers. I audit researchers work and then feedback what I find. This helps with accuracy and promotes best practise amongst research. In doing this the QA team can quickly spot common trends and then pass them onto the training department.

What does your typical day look like?
The first thing I do in the morning is get a coffee, I don't think people would like me without my early morning coffee! I then start auditing work and feeding them back thereafter. I also evaluate research calls and score them. In between all of this I attend meetings, coaching sessions and very often colleagues want my help so I can be found all over the office answering queries.

What is the most challenging aspect of your job?
This is a fast paced environment and the QA team have to lead by example. We have tough targets to achieve, however there is a great sense of pride when you reach your goals.

And the best part?
When I am on a phone call to a client and they tell me how accurate and useful our product is to them and how professional and diligent their assigned researcher is. Hearing feedback like this that makes it all worthwhile.

In addition there is a great social scene at CoStar. We enjoy a good mix of organised events and impromptu nights out. The photographs on Facebook help act as a great reminder of this!
