What were you doing before you joined?
Before joining CoStar I have been involved in the construction of enterprise software in various forms for a number of companies both large and small.
Why did you decide to join CoStar?
At the time I was looking for a small sized well focused team that I could integrate into and feel like making a real difference rather than acting as a small part of a large machine. Now that I'm entering my third year with CoStar and things feel even more exciting than the first.
What's the highlight of your experience to date?
Leading the development of the first global application in the company's history (
Showcase). This project provided a number of interesting technical challenges, such as integrating disparate systems across continents and the development of a single application that looks consistent in multiple cultures yet presents subtly different data to each. It also gave me a great insight into the business both in the UK and the USA.
