Product Manager
What is your job about?
As a Product Manager, I am responsible for the revenue growth and evolution of the Showcase product. This requires me to work across all the business lines to ensure goals are met. Essentially it is the internal & external promotion of this product.
What does your typical day look like?
It is definitely a day of juggling between different elements. It ranges from client meetings with the sales team, to working with the marketing team on promotion of the product, to late evening meetings with the US development team, to catching up with the research team and dealing with the unexpected that crosses one's desk.
What is the most challenging aspect of your job?
Ensuring the UK business requirements take the same importance as the US requirements.
And the best part?
Definitely the people – although it is pre-requisite of my role to be a "people's person", I really enjoy the exposure it offers me to some many different types of people. They inspire me, they challenge me, they make me excited and that is the most rewarding part of what I do. Being a very passionate person, it is the people who fuel my drive and ambition.
What advice would you give to someone who is interested in working as a Product Manager?
If you are hard working and ambitious CoStar offers great opportunities. Everyone is extremely friendly and you will always have someone helping you out. It has the positives of a large company, with career progression & training, but the charms of a smaller company with friendly people.
